After three years of radio silence, the first single from Lazertits’ sophomore album is upon us!
This single is a blistering four and a half minutes of cheeky riffs; a mantra for self-reliance. Almost twice as long as listeners have come to expect from this self-taught “punk” band, Self Care is a driving, raunchy ode to heavy rock pioneers, culminating in a climactic time-modulating breakdown that will leave you hot and heavy.
Self Care is both a departure and preservation. Taking the helm, guitarist Lexi Love-Dack’s vocals defiantly grapple with heartbreak, boredom and the things we do to keep ourselves distracted and satiated (to put it politely). Long-time fans of the band will not be disappointed to hear a return of Lazertits’ signature playful lyricism; you can almost hear the band smirking.
